Archery Range Day

Wolf, Bear, Webelos and Arrow of Lights Scouts in the ABQ Metro area - come participate in an Archery Range day with the High Desert Council on Saturday November 8th! This is your chance to earn the Archery Adventure Pin!  Cub Scout Range and Target Activities are only permitted at Council or District level events and this is your chance to earn this adventure if you were unable to attend our Council Day Camp last summer!

South Area Merit Badge University

October 25, 8:00-4:00

Merit Badge University hosted by Western Technical College offers an opportunity to work on up to two Merit Badges in one day.  Scouts are offered a diverse set of Merit Badges that will be either partially earned or completed on the day of the event (contingent upon the completion of pre-requisites prior to Merit Badge College).  Scouts will be able to enroll in up to two separate Merit Badge classes of their choice. Enrollments will be awarded on a first-come-first-served basis.

Basic Shotgun Training

The course will be taught on 14 Nov from 6:00-9:00 pm location TBD and 15 Nov 2025 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm at the City of Albuquerque Shooting Range Park 16001 Shooting Range Access RD NW. The cost is $35.00 which includes the training material, range fees, and snacks. Students need to bring a 12/16/20 Guage shotgun and a minimum of 25 rounds of ammunition. The minimum class size is 4 and maximum is 8.
